Have a steak:
On 24 September it is National Heritage Day in South Africa. A Public holiday.
What do South Africans do on Heritage day?
This year was no exception. We Braai!

OK...now I'm hungry. I would prefer mine a little more on the rare side
Nice photo Andre.

Re: Have a steak:
Delicious looking hunk of beef! Although I like the turkey on our Thanksgiving Day; I could easily eat a piece of beef like that more frequently than I eat turkey!
BTW: Here is a recipe:

Re: Have a steak:
My only experince in South Africa (not counting transiting through Johnannesburg in late 2011) was when we visited my sister-in-law and brother-in-law who were living in Capetown at the time (about 30 years ago).
Unfortnately, we did not get to experience a braai; as both are vegetarians. Fortunately, they are wine drinkers, so we got to sample some of the delicious Cape wines.

Re: Have a steak:
Looks delicious, Andre. My favorite line is "A day without beef . . . isn't a day"!
