Opening an image from Abobe Bridge
I have had the occasion to work with some images in the PNG format. When I attempted to open the image by double-clicking on the bridge thumbnail, the image opens on Windows Live Photo Gallery. The fix is simple, I just click on the menu and select: Open With> Adobe Photoshop CS6.
This doesn't seem to happen with the JPEG, RAW, DNG or TIFF images that I work with, simply with the PNG images. Is there a default setting for Adobe Bridge that will allow me to always open all my images in Photoshop CS6?
I have no use for Windows Live Photo Gallery and having to go to the menu and select open with Photoshop CS6, slows me down a bit. Especially, since I am so used to double clicking on my images that I will sometimes forget and try to open a PNG by double clicking...

Re: Opening an image from Abobe Bridge
Richard - you have to go into Bridge's preference and set the defaults in the File Type Association tab.
Bridge is used as a generic tool, and not all file types should default to Photoshop, so if you don't like the ones that are set by default, you have to go and change the settings manually. The preferences settings in Bridge can get confused when you update to a new version. Every so often I hit a file type I don't use all that often and it will try to open in a software version that I have uninstalled.
