Stunningly gorgeous... so much so it looks like a fairy tale, the promotion photo for some movie.
Very nice! Love that sky as well.
Very good work John. Great mood captured with that sky and the composition with the walls and walkways leading through to the castle works very well indeed.
Dave.
Agree, it looks like an opening of a Hollywood movie!
Excellent photo.

John, nicely composed and processed.

John: I was there on a whirlwind tour back in the late '90s. I was struck by the existence of a thriving town within the walls of the castle. I'd also visited Warwick Castle, Castle Beaumaris, and Leeds Castle; all of which were tourist destinations.
Hi John,
I can't really add anything without repeating phrases already used by others, but I'll try; "magnificent".
Worth the wait,
Thanks so much for your comments all of you. Wales is one of our favourite UK holiday destinations. Photographically, there always seems something around the corner. I spotted the possibility driving past earlier in the day on the way back to our cottage behind the castle. If I'm good, I am allowed out for a couple of hours on my own with a camera and this was one of those occasions. George, there is no doubt that the castles are a draw and we do have a few in the UK but North Wales has four within easy reach of each other. All are worth a visit if you ever get another chance.
Worth the effort, very nice.
What a hovering enigma!!! Stupendous !!!

Thanks John.
Thanks Nandakumar.
Its a great shot and definitely fits into the category of a much photographed scene/landmark captured from an unusual spot to make a special and unique photo.
Thanks for the comment Kaye. I guess that's the challenge with holiday destinations but I rarely succeed.
