Do I have to buy ONLY from Photomatix Company?

I ordered Photomatix yesterday off Amazon, which is being shipped by another company, currently out of stock. Then, someone said, if its not from HDRSoft, you don't get free upgrades and other bennies...
Should us cancel from Amazon? It was a new product, not open, and price was compatible to 15% discount thru HDRSoft. But I wanted disk , not download.

As long as you buy legitimate software from an authorized distributor, there should be no issues on upgrades, etc.

The fact that Amazon sells at a discount sounds like a very good reason to buy from them. In the "old" days, I always bought my Adobe software from my computer dealer, for the very same reason; the price was better that dealing with Adobe's on-line store.

I always opt for box retail version wherever possible and try to avoid digital files. All software / games bought this way have been supported by the brand with no exceptions and all patches, upgrades are downloadable as long as the said software has been activated with the set of activation keys.
