My apologies to all, especially Henrik and Donald, I have slapped myself about a bit as punishment
It should work now (and I have tested it this time, doh)
It seems ".nef" and ".NEF" in the (link) filename makes a difference!
I will now write out 100 times; "ALWAYS TEST ALL OF THE HYPERLINKS DAVE"
Once again, my apologies,
I love the carving girl, too bad she doesn't play safe
Her googles look fine to me but the loose clothing will have to go I am afraid.....and I AM a safety consultant so no arguing (well nuclear safety..but who cares)Nor any goggles
COLIN,
Now look what you've done to my beautiful PP challenge.
It has gone all off topic, what a distraction, even I fell for it.
As Ali would say; Go to your room!
Hey !
Remove your own net Colin .
BTW the table inst very stable now - don't know if anyone noticed, due to the obvious distraction .
Voting Number V15
It's a black art

First post so in at the deep end! Here's wot I did:
Extracted subject from background.
Cropped.
Highlighted man and machine and removed colour.
Almost forgot the tip of the saw.
Spent two and a half years removing that blasted netting.
Upped the saturation slightly to bring out some warmth in the wood.
No idea how to get rid of (or tone down) the white edging, but I sort of like it so that's alright.

Henrik,
I'm confused, I believe it is a NEF file, the one I copied up today has the same Date Modified as when I download the lot off the memory card.
Alongside it is the xmp sidecar file, which I obviously didn't upload as you don't want/need anything I have done.
What makes you think it is a Tiff?
(I don't use them, so I wouldn't know)
I know I messed up last time, but this time I am really confused as to how it could happen.
Does anyone else see the NEF file now?
and if so, as what?
Puzzled,
A great idea
Now, before you all go crazy, I think you should know a little about the background history for Colin's new model.
All for your convenience,
Regards, Henrik
0) The Rolling Stones did their well known "I Can't Get No Satisfaction" (1965).
1) Benny Bennassi did a very dull "Satisfaction" musicvideo in 2003 like this:
Watch the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nd1b9kVJ6eE
2) Benny Benassi launched another - more vivid - version like this. And this is where Colin got his inspiration:

3-5) Other versions pop up. In Denmark some guys did a parody like this:

Henrik I can tell that you have not seen the full uncut video of Benny Benassi's "Satisfaction". For Mature Audiences only, view at your own risk.

I don't, I get NEF (in Firefox).
What happens if you Left click the link?
With me (in FF), it starts to open a new tab, then offers a Save As/Open With dialog, I select Save As and it downloads a NEF file.
OK, I just tried on IE8 and it started off as NEF and changed to Tiff in front of my eyes, most bizarre.
I cannot explain that, nor whatever IE8 might try to do to it if downloaded
Is IE8 trying to be too clever and, because there is no known association for NEF, it analyses the content and offers something close?
Have you another browser to try, say Chrome? That seems to behave itself.
Cheers,
I would say all you need to do is re-name the file ext from the TIFF ext. to the NEF ext.
Should work just fine.
Ive noticed some of these problems within windows 7 lately where files are given no extension at all.
Probably just something silly MS has done tbh.
