Car racing - pp overdone?
It was a very bright day, I tried some Exposure compensation.
SS 1/100, f8, I had Ap on auto setting, I tried using the EC to bring the F stop down to about f5-f8.
I had a CPL, which helped a bit but not enough.
You can see I overdid the PP a bit, but the bonnet is still too light because of the sun.
Any tips on what I could do to fix this.
Here is another effort - only changed brightness and contrast and a crop.

Re: Car racing - pp overdone?
Hi Robin,
Yep I agree a bit too over processed. If you took this in RAW, using ACR pull the exposure back a bit until the majority has gone and then try and pull back the rest with the recovery slider. You may just have to accept some.
Not sure what software you have but I use Elements and then use the 'Lighting Adjustment' tool to 'darken the highlights' that will dim down the brightest parts.
I had to tackle a couple of similar problems with my cars and the panning shots this week and found that solved most of it.

Re: Car racing - pp overdone?
Thank you - I am using GIMP
Taken in JPG.
I will have another try.
Very much a novice at adjusting colours, sometimes use curves, but it did not work for me this time.
Pulled the top down and bottom up in the historogram, then adjusted some levels.
Will try the highlights on anther one.
Well as said above, I only did dropped the brightness and upped the contrast, plus a small crop from the bottom to remove some track and barriers.
