A Motorcycle Gone Awry

The person who built this motorcycle went absolutely crazy and the results are one heck of a lot of fun. It's a good thing the odometer is presumably inoperative and that there is no motor, as the ride would be extremely bumpy. This outdoor sculpture is displayed on the grounds of Fairview Winery in Paarl, South Africa.

Maybe a bit early, but then again Hot Chocolate, I thought that was a bed time drink.

Anyway, yes from a not B/W fan YET, Sepia is good here, I can imagine in colour it would not be much at all.

A memorial to mankinds attempts to tame his environment, not too successfully.

And interesting that you have taken a part shot, not included the whole item in the frame.
That is something I have just started to stumble over and experiment with.

I did capture a composition that included everything except the handlebars, which are made of either kudu horns or impala horns (I can't remember). The problem was that getting low enough to do that made the background unacceptable, so I trashed it. The background would have been even worse if I had included the handles.

I particularly like the processing on this one, as well as the composition. I just think it has a glorious 'feel' to it.

I'm with others in my preference for #2 but the both are nice - good eye and your processing is complimentary to the subject.
