It's such a timeless image that it could be from almost any era. I like that the panoramic format requires the eye to look long and hard to find everything in the image. The last treat that was revealed for me was the buoy.

It reminds me of a particular type of print but the name escapes me. Perhaps you used a post-processing preset and that its name would remind me.

Nicely done Sharon. The sepia looks contributes to the timelessness that Mike mentions. At the same time though, it has a lot of good detail in there, unlike a lot of old prints.

My partner has pictures of her, her sister and brother playing on that beach when they were kids and their parents were home on leave (her dad was a banker who worked in India and Africa in colonial days). That was 55+ years ago. Must look them out.

My own effort of the same beach was posted up, here, in November 2011 (God, I didn't realise it was that long ago).

Sharon's image is just gorgeous.
