Was it your intention to produce a deliberate look of 'over processing' from the original?
I do not think I would have taken it that far.

i intentionally turned it into a coloured pencil drawing. I must admit that the surreality of it appeals to me. This is one of the strangest plants I have seen. In time it will come to look like what the dragon fly is sitting on.
