I really like this shot Mike. Even though the bright colors of her clothes kind of draw your eye away from her face , they just seem to work well.
Thanks, Travis. I was actually photographing only the hat and the bright colors from behind when she unexpectedly turned around and looked at me.
Very nice capture. Her look make the shot IMHO.
Thanks for sharing
Hi, Mike. It works for me and the reasons, I think, are the DoF nicely managed combined with her strong expression. Nice!
Thank you to Tim and Otavio!
It might be fun to see how the photo came out of the camera. I like the clutter of street photography when it is part of the story or helps tell the story but not when it doesn't. For me, the clutter in this photo was a detraction, so I cleaned it up. Others might wish I hadn't done that.
If you only took one street photo that means you weren't relaxing enough.
Nice shot.
I quite like the second one Mike, because the other people give it some context. The body fragment on the rhs could be removed but the light pole through the head is not so annoying as some instances. Also, the colours in the background (tree, bus etc) seem to make her dress more vibrant.
Thanks for you thinking, Greg. The pole exiting from the head and the bright bus in the background are true no-no's for me, but I'm not a street shooter.
