Waiting for customers
I quite liked this shot in colour, of a fish seller waiting for custom in the Fish Market in Dubai

Re: Waiting for customers
Plenty of context Phil and a good pose - perhaps a slight pity about the loss of his finger tips but that is a relatively minor crit. Good image.

Re: Waiting for customers
Unusual angle. Works very well to create context. Well-spotted, Phil. I agree that this one works nicely in color - the gentleman's head would probably stand out much less in greyscale. I might try burning the brightly-lit outdoor strip behind him and lightening his face a tad.
By the way, your new lens has arrived.

Thanks John - the disadvantage of quick grabs with a rangefinder style optical viewfinder!

Re: Waiting for customers
Nice shot, Phil.
The red blob beneath his chin seems to be part of the background, as does the orange at the back of his collar. I would remove them both to allow him to stand out from the background.

Re: Waiting for customers
Nice shot as always Phil. I wonder if cropping out the guy in the background, image left, would not add a bit to the image by subtraction. My eye tends to follow the red and white headscarf which leads it to the guy in the background...
