    Waiting for a Friend

I have noticed this guy a few times but this is the first occasion that I've had a camera with me. (It wasn't until I opened the image on the computer that I noticed his magnifying glass. I guess my eyesight isn't much better than his. )

It isn't really much more than a grab shot, I guess, but I thought the two empty glasses were rather poignant. I've never seen anyone else with him ...

Processed this with PSE 12 trial.

    C&C welcome.

Agreed. Also a perfect depth of field and wonderful conversion.

    Greg,

Nice picture. You mentioned you processed with PSE 12. Does it have any new tools for black and white? How did you convert your photo to B&W?

    Hi Ali,
this is the first time I have used PSE, so I don't know if the black and white conversion tool is new but it does have one. I first processed the image in colour - to the point where it was starting to look just a tad over-processed - and then converted to b&w. I did a further bit of tweaking with the sliders there before resizing the image for posting here. It was then necessary to apply further sharpening before posting.

I was quite pleased with PSE's conversion to b&w. If it had the curves tool I would probably stick with it rather than PS.

I like this picture very much. It really tells a story.

Ditto, Mike. You did a great job at you b&w conversion as well.
