I decided to get away from post-processing photos of animals to work on something different: the scenery that we encountered on our coastal drive from Strand to Hermanus. The first two photos are of Strand and the other three are farther along the way toward Hermanus. Even though we saw many whales while eating lunch at Hermanus, the drive itself would have been well worth it even without the whales.

Thank you, Nandakumar. The light, though bright, was considerably higher in the sky than I prefer. However, considering the constraints of travel schedules and having to settle for the light that is provided at the moment, there could be a lot worse light.

3,4, 5 are my favorites. Beautifully done.
Someday, I hope to get this type of result with such clarity and vibrant coloring in such a landscape.

Glad you like them, Nancy. One requirement for achieving clarity and vibrant colors is to master how to minimize or eliminate haze, which was a major issue in all but one of these photos. If you don't know how to do that, you might want to consider starting a thread to ask about it.

As an example, Photo 4 as displayed straight out of the camera is shown below. Notice the horrible haze.

I like 1 and 5.

5 has some activity in the water, that always gets me.
And in 5 the foreshore is a "less is more" approach.

And I also need to know how to get rid of haze, especially for some of my Landscapes from Italy.
Europe seems to have a lot of haze.
