The first one is a wall-hanger for me. The second one doesn't work for me at all because of your use of the bright tones.
I wonder if I can convince you to apply the color of the second one to the first one without changing anything else in the first one.

In answer to your question - the B&W version - it's a good image though you seem to have lost a little bit of the detail though in it compared to the tinted version.
My personal preference for tinted seascapes is just a hint of blue if it's during the day & calm.

Murat - I would go for the B&W as well. Had you gone to a cooler tone (blue comes to mind) in the other image, it might work better for me, but as it is the warm tones don't do it.
