    Dorset Coast

Hello Everyone: I have been away from this site for quite some time while on my epic trip to England. It was truly a trip of a lifetime and I am still overwhelmed by the great scenery, wonderful hospitality, and the glorious history. I have never been overseas before so this was quite an adventure for me. I am not much of a landscape photographer and most of my shots are typical tourist snaps, but I did absolutely love the Dorset coast and managed a couple of golden hour shots at the cliffs. I have a lot of catching up to do and look forward to seeing all of great works I have missed. C and C is always welcome and appreciated.

Of course, I couldn't stop myself from grabbing a few shots of English birds! The sparrow was perched at Corfe Castle and the gull was sunning himself at Swanage (where, by the way, I had the best fish and chips ever!)

So pleased you loved the UK and received a warm welcome. The Dorset coast is lovely - are the first two at Tyneham ? I hope you have lots more photos like these to remind you of the trip - we'd love to see some.

Thanks you all for commenting. In answer to Kaye, the shots of the coast were a few minutes away from a village called Kimmeridge which is near Wareham. My husband's ancestors were from Wareham and Lytchett Minster. This is quite a rural area, and I must say, I have never seen such interesting roads anywhere else.

These are not typical tourist snapshots, as you say, and you should be very proud of them. Glad to know that the trip turned out so well for you!
