Re: Pole and the Shadow
I swear...the first thing that popped into my mind was "where's the stop sign", then the Dah moment.
Like the congruity of it.

That's different. You might think that the window distracts but strangely, without the window, it seems to have less impact. I like it.

Re: Pole and the Shadow
Nice one, Pat. I wonder if it needs a bit of straightening, though, as the verticals seem to be converging towards the top of the frame. I also wonder if it would be possible to shoot it again a bit earlier in the day so there was a bit of separation between the shadow the window?

The mystery melted only by giving a flame of thought; well done indeed; i too agree the small window makes the story complete

Re: Pole and the Shadow
Hi Pat,
I like it too.
If I am correct, that's lit by a street lamp, so I suspect there's little chance of the shadow moving.
I would consider reducing the converging verticals, even though I appreciate you cannot get square to the wall to get the horizontal element level (at least, not without losing the whole effect).
Well observed,

Re: Pole and the Shadow
Thank you all for your comments,
Yes Dave you are correct, it is lit by a street lamp across the road. The converging verticals don't bother me that much as the pole it self is slanted after a brush with a van. and the effect is the main part of the image I wanted to portray.
Thanks again, Best Wishes, Pat
