    Palm Warbler

The warblers have returned and are showing up all over. The birds are back, getting busy here. I captured these today. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Indeed very nice... I adore the pose and moment in #2 and think it is very special. I also love the pensive look you captured on the bird in #3. #1 is equally gorgeous but for some reason I think a 16 x 9 crop would work better or healing the background branch out would make it even more stunning, so it was just on a lone single stem... ie; minimalistic

I might add that your timing is mighty perfect to show me what a beautifully coloured and sunlit background should look like... Thank you.

Hello Christina, thank you for viewing and commenting. I like your suggestion, I settled on a 2x3 crop rather than 16x9.

The rule of thirds would be most suitable here and I would have cropped so the bird was more to the left with more room on the right to look out of the image. Also you have not left much room above the birds head I would have done it the other way with more room over the birds head and less room below the bird.

    Hello Joe,

Thank you for sharing. I think I've seen a few of these little birds around so it is nice for me to have an example to strive for.

I'm delighted to hear that it worked, and I adore this little bird. 16 x9 was likely just a figure that popped out of my head with no rhyme or reason.

PS Those LR tutorials you suggested are very good, simple and easy to understand. Thank you.

Really gorgeous shots, Joe. The lighting and background are so nice, perfectly setting up the razor sharp subject.

Hello Dusty, I agree on all of your suggestions. My post was a quick edit, most of my images have many iterations before I call them done. Thank you for viewing and commenting. Below is what I think works following your suggestions.
