This image isn't a rescue dog. The little Yorkie is our friend's pet and we are minding her for the weekend while our friend delivers a rescue Maltese to Northern California... See, I got rescue into this posting somehow.

Anyway Schatzie, who looks like a puppy, is actually twelve years old. While I was photographing another rescue dog, I decided to get one or two of Shatzie to give to my friend. I only noticed the ID tag after I had shot the image and I am really too lazy to Photoshop it out...

The ID looks like jewelry that complements the dog's personality. Tell the owners that you're really proud of how you were able to make that happen.

Yet another super photo Richard, thanks for sharing, my wife and I love your doggie photos. By the way, our Maltese/Chinese Crested Powderpuff looks exactly like the photo you posted 2 days ago under the 'Choosing a Camera' thread, even the apricot coloured ears! Keep up the good work.

There is a service that is just trying to get off the ground that uses facial detection to store photos of dogs and can then assist in getting the dog back. It has many other facets but is only in its start up mode. The program was worked n by the University of Utah in conjunction with a private company.
