It is a nice shot. But to be honest I like your B&W images better than this one. Maybe the city lights and the sky are competing for my attention.
Andre, I was just about to add my B&W version when you posted your thoughts. To be honest, I like the colour one better, but it will be interesting what everyone else thinks. Thanks for your comment. Always appreciate it.
Black and white for me.
I prefer the black-and-white one though not necessarily because it is a monochrome. I like that the minarets are pointing to the opening in the sky and I like the overall pattern of the entire sky better. The one thing I like less about the black-and-white one is the larger foreground.

I like different parts of both of them... the lights in the color photo and the dramatic sky in the black and white. The extra foreground in the black and white gives more of a feeling of standing on the hill looking down in to the city.
