PS: Go get it printed as a 22 x 22 canvas and hang it on your wall - it'll look great.

In terms of sharpening, I applied 1px @ 150% to your image to sharpen the hair in particular, but used the history brush to roll of back over some of the image (in particular the clothing).

Other than that, I think you did really well!

    Colin,
I can't even begin to express how much I love this photo, thanks to your input this is probably, out of all the photos I have taken this is my favorite. Thanks again for the inspiration! (the little girl is my Grand daughter)

Where should I go to get it printed as a 22 x 22 canvas??? Everywhere I have been looking online does not offer a 22x22 size . . .

I've viewed this photograph at least ten times and finally noticed the dog behind the fence. Added so much more to the image for me. One other idea would be a caption for online viewing which would help direct the viewer around the image. Also, I would play around with the fence posts increasing the edge effects as they get closer to the subjects. The vignette suggested also worked out very well.

    Not sure!

It's one of the standard sizes I print; basically, the canvas roll is 24" wide - you lose 1" along each edge where it's stapled - so that leaves 22" for the image, and about another 1" is "lost" where the image is wrapped around the sides of the frame (so the actual frame size is around 20 x 20").

I'd happily print it for you for free -- we'd just need to figure out a way to get it to you that didn't cost an arm and both legs

I was going to let you off because the dog is in the shadows ... but you're supposed to be the shadow-man for goodness sake!

I could use the excuse of elements missing to lead the eye, but you are right; there's no excuse for me to miss the pup.
