A bit more full on and less reflective piece than usual so all comments and critique especially welcomed.

If you love or hate it..please tell me!

I got to tell you, you have a great technique and eye. And while I think they all make great images, I so see them as watercolor on canvas. Have you thought about making them watercolor painting? Otherwise I can easily see them printed on canvas (and something I would hang on my own wall(s).

Super effect! I like it. There is a lot of rain at his time of year and a lot of picture of water drops. Yours is intriguing. I keeps my attention. Bravo!

Fantastic image. Colors are wonderful. Your processing of this image is so imaginative.

Aye, it's a'right, he said colloquially.

You just keep on raising the bar.

I like everything about it except the apparent pattern of clouds. If all of the sky could be like the left area of the sky, I would be in heaven over this one.

Sorry Sharon, but this doesn't work for me. Love most most your images, but this seems neither here nor there. Can't be more coherent than that.

On the whole I love it Sharon, it even works that she's running out of frame (to get home out of the wet)

If I have one critique, Mike has already said it; the apparent angle of rain around the bright patch of clouds being at odds with the rest falling more or less vertically.

    Sharon,

Contrary to other comments regarding the sky I fully understand that the pattern is caused by the waves crashing behind the wall

    Love it.

    Have ye ever visited Scotland?

Our rain comes from all angles..sometimes if not mostly.. simultaneously

...........more imortantly I flagged this up in the title as 'Electric rain' ( impressionist )

It is an impressionist piece and as such it really shouldn't matter a jot which direction the rain is perceived to be falling..............should it?

To clarify the issue, I would like to go on record that I didn't mention or think of anything relative to the direction of the rain. It is the clouds or the wave of water, depending on my or Grahame's interpretation, that I found troubling.

    Sharon,

I like almost everything about the image - the technique, composition, color. You can really feel the wetness. On the other hand everything is wet but the girl - no headgear, umbrella?

As usual, an outstanding image..I may have muted the colors a little more. Love your work.

    Re: Electric rain! ( impressionist)

When I first viewed this image I thought the big spodge of water was a wave breaking over the wall (probably because of my own environmental context) but then I wondered about the building on the left hand side: it couldn't be a wave. So, I decided that splodge represents what I see when it suddenly starts pissing down and rain drops plaster my specs. Or maybe it is just a squall colliding with the wall. Does it matter? Squalls and splashes - it's rain where Sharon lives.
