    Some more colour ...

Just sharing but C&C is always nice and other points of view essential to improvement.

    Thanks.

Thanks for sharing this series Bobo,

I specifically like the helicopter. Wish our crabs over here were that colourful.

#2 makes it for me. It's not just the brilliant red color, though that is important. It's also the alignment of the body with the stem of the plant and the detail in the wings and hair on the stem that make it special.

Great job, Bobo. Number 1 is my favourite (context and DoF usage), although all are nice. Rgds,

Thanks Christina, Grahame, Mike, Joe, Otavio, Nandakumar.

@ Nandakumar - thanks for the ego boost. Somehow I only feel that to be true when I first look at the shot on the computer. After a while they just appear lacking and sort of bleh! and my initial confidence goes to the bottom.

Sometimes I wonder why that happens. Anybody in the same boat?

Yes, all the time... Likely because of all the perfect images shared on this forum, and the resulting comprehensive analysis of ones own photos for technical deficiencies instead of just appreciating the beauty of the image.

Now that I view these again, my definate favourite is number 5, and I would love to have this one hanging on my wall. Exquisite!

Yes, why do you think I rarely post images

I take so many of subjects like these (I feel I have to) that by the time I have been through hundreds and culled them, even the good ones seem too 'lacking' to be worth showing.

.. and by the way, these are better than most of mine.

Thanks Christina - certainly true about the quality of stuff being posted. They surely play a part in that feeling of inadequacy.

Thanks Dave - I do not believe you!
