Blame Bruce -- another broken wine glass

When I displayed this photo, Bruce suggested that it might be nice to add some broken pieces of glass on the right side. Unfortunately, I agreed.

I didn't have any small pieces of glass, so I intentionally broke a wine glass while my composition was still set up in my makeshift studio. The wine glass that most recently met its demise only cost $1, but now that it is broken I can no longer donate it back to the charity where I purchased it.

Broken but beautiful. I love the bits of broken glass with the reflections captured, too.

    You're too modest, Bruce.

Christina: Bruce and I thank you.

    I agree!

The 'body'of the glass far left is my only quibble....a little indistinct for the balance of the piece?

    Mike,

I just spent some time looking at the image having not read any comments also considering the glass on the left and not sure about it.

The broken pieces certainly add interest, I do not recall a single broken glass with pieces in your series so far but may have missed it?

I agree that some of the edges of the large glass on the far left are not as well defined as the rest. That has to do with the limitations of my makeshift studio. Even so, I went with it because I like the elegance of it that is a nice contrast to the other aspects of the image.

Grahame: The only pieces of broken glass that I have photographed had nothing to do with wine glasses. They were parts of a broken compact fluorescent bulb and a blue hot light.

I liked the first one more. Dunno whether it's that I'm minimalist or just a simpleton.
