    B&W experiments using GIMP fx

    Converted NEF to jpg ( yes, processed out of cam ) .
    Then used GIMP filters.
    Nikon D300, lens: 28-100mm. 1 YN560II manual mode.
    Experimenting with small apertures/fast shutter speed to darken background. Pasadena city hall. Sat 26Oct2013

    An interesting experiment Victor. How do the images look when you tone down the effect just a little?

    My thoughts also, especially the second and third images. I really like the poses in these.

    The texture of #2 makes it look like a canvas print, to me anyway. I really, really like it! It may not be for every single photo, but here, with your black and white conversion to compliment it, it looks fantastic. I stand firm that these are great shots.
