Concord Formation (BIF)
There have been quite a few Canada Geese in my local nature reserve this year and on a daily basis they would take off as a body and fly over a nearby hill down into a valley to graze in the meadows on the other side of a river. Most evenings, the process would be reversed and they would skim the brow of the hill on the way back to the ponds. I had an idea of catching a head on shot as they breasted the rise but no matter where I positioned myself, they always re appeared somewhere else. Very frustrating. This is the best that I managed - the cloud was a bonus.

Re: Concord Formation (BIF)
Very nice image, John. Great composition and the sky adds a nice blue contrast to the green tree tops.

John,
Great capture I like the separation of the one that is leading. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Otavio, thanks Grahame. Can't take any credit for the comp. It was a case of camera on continuous burst and trust to luck.

Re: Concord Formation (BIF)
Very nice! And only 1/250!? Mine would have been blurry at that rate.
Did you have a filter, great sky color.

Re: Concord Formation (BIF)
Thanks for your feedback Nancy. It's not 1/250th but 1/1250th. No filter but I have helped the sky along in post processing the image.

Re: Concord Formation (BIF)
Thanks Joe. I wish I had the opportunities that you have. The local Reserve is newly created and it will take time to be established.

John - very nice image. I love the color and tone. The composition is great, and the separation of the lead bird is wonderful.
Nice work!
