All clearly captive Dave (Martin Mere?) but beautiful photographs. Nicely caught, pin sharp and lovely saturation.

John only the Crane was behind fencing/netting. The rest of the birds are free to come and go as they please at Martin Mere. At the moment there are thousands of Canadian Geese arriving daily and in the next few weeks there will be over 2000 Whooper Swans arriving. You live in the north west get yourself over there, it's by Burscough/Ormskirk.

Truly beautiful photos... The focus, light and detail you capture is exquisite... Please photograph some Canadian Geese in flight, as I would love to see some of these for the inspiration. Thank you.

Will try my best but as you can see from the image I have posted this is how the Canadian Geese arrive at Martin Mere (not a clear image but i was amazed at this scene, enlarge the image, them dots in the distance are the Canadian Geese). Looks like they fly pretty high up... No problem. You'll just have to stand on a plane and pan as you fly past..
