    Pompton Lake in Fall

Went to Pompton lake one Sunday morning for Fall leaves and get many colorful pictures. But most of them are too busy. It's still hard for me to get a kind of mood in these picture.
Went there again in one afternoon. Even though I just missed the sunset, I still decided to stay longer and take some night time picture. This is my first time shoot landscape (not city scape) at night. I do like those night time pictures more than those daytime colorful leaves.

    Any C& C are welcomed.

    Hi Hui,
To get the mood right you need to
    1) Shoot at the right time of day
    2) Get the WB right
    3) Contrast and saturation adds mood.

These are good images and I like it. If you leave the EXIF data in tact it will help others better understand what you have done and give better advice.

    Hui,

All great images. I especially like #5. My eyes went to the rocks in the foreground, and then traveled right up the middle of the image to the beautiful trees. Fall leaves on water is one of my favorite subjects.

    Well done!

    Hi Andre,
Always get help from you. Thanks!
The EXIF is in my computer at home, I will add them tonight. I should have a habbit to any the EXIF to all my posted images.

For the first five images, I did basic PP in LR. For the last three images taken after sunset, I took 7 shots for composition. since I was not confident if I can get the right EXP for night time picute. Also, these three are HDR. It iseams very tricky to set the right WB for the night time images. I did compare a few setting for each image in LR.

    Hi Cliff,
I did try a few composition for the view in #5. This is my final pick.
A view with water is alway attracting me. The colorful fall leaves are big plus. I enjoy your fall color with water & stone pictures in your post.
