    Brian,
I like this. It has an interesting tension. The eye is drawn to the centre and there is a feeling that I (and the bug) could start slipping down ant any moment.

If I were pp'ing this, I think I would increase the clarity/vibrance to bring out the detail of the cactus? surface and increase the shadow depth. I would also sharpen a little more to improve the edge detail.

Personally, I would remove the initials since they are distracting. (I do admit to 'signing' some of my prints occasionally, but place my signature & copyright in the border area outside the image.

    Brian,

Once again, I'm in agreement with James on all his points. The only thing I'd add is that it might be interesting to add some contrast as well. The edges on the cactus leaves are wonderful, and I'd like to see them sharpened and emphasized just a bit.

    Great work!

I admit that there are times my ego over rides my goo taste. I just removed the watermark. I am unsure of the proper name for the plant the bug is in but it is not the cactus family. When it is in bloom I will post a pic.

    Hi Brian,

Beautiful image.. Love the depth of field, colour and light... Wonderfully sharp.... Adorable little bug on a beautiful background.

The only thing I can think of to make it perfect, or perhaps being nit picky would be to heal a couple of the spots, either dust spots or a little blemishes on the right hand side, mid way down...
