Helpful Posts: Well, since Mike Buckley established the warthog as the ugly animal champion, I thought the birds deserve a look in. This is a Ground Hornbill. They are about the size of a turkey, and spend all day rooting around for bugs and frogs, and anything else they can find. They can fly, but rarely do, so all my photos are on the ground and from above.

Early in this hobby, I was told that a great photographer/artist could make the mundane attractive...that's complete BS as exhibited with these birds.
Ya want a pretty picture...start with an attractive subject.
