How to take the photo of leaves on the wall

Red leaves on the wall is my favorite scene in the fall. Would you please make comments on the composition and where the focus should be (now is on the 1/3 from the right)? Thanks for your view.

    Hi Ming.

The eye has a tendency to go to the brightest, most sharp and most colorful parts of an image. I think the most interesting portion of your image is the leaves on the wall. Therefore, I would set the focus point about 1/4th of the way into the frame on the right side, and I would probably use f11 or f13 to get all the leaves sharp.

The leaves are already colorful, but on my monitor, your image is somewhat over exposed and lacks contrast. I would darken the image and increase the contrast to make the reds, oranges and yellows show more brilliantly.

I do not know what that black object is at the bottom, about 1/4th the way in from the left, but it detracts from the otherwise interesting image. You should consider cloning it out.
