    My Handsome Tripod

I bet you think I posted this in the wrong forum...
    My Handsome Tripod
Greer is a young male Maltese mix...
    My Handsome Tripod
He had been hit by a car and his right rear leg was so badly shattered that the shelter vet had to amputate in order to save Greer's life...
    My Handsome Tripod
He is now a tripod dog but, he gets along great. It is heart-warming to see the little guy use his three legs to effectively chase his four legged dog pals...

Great photographs, and a wonderful narrative.

Great stuff Richard. Again I commend you on your rescue work. I had a three legged dog once that could outrun my other two with four legs.

Beautiful photos Richard. What a sweetheart. Amazing how well dogs learn to cope with a disability. Humans could take a lesson........

Richard, I know I have said this to you before, but my Heart Sings!

Your dedication to these puppies is beyond words. The way you photograph them is what photography is about.

They never fail to touch me and my day is always made when you share with us what you do.

    Hey man? Thank you!

    Re: My Handsome Tripod

It never ceases to amaze me how how well these little guys do with three legs. I worked on a farm, moving cattle daily for two weeks, with a three legged Australian Shepherd (a dog, although the other type may exist). I picked him up to put him into the truck cab and only then discovered he was missing a hind limb. I put his example to good use to encourage people that a hind limb amputation is no impediment to most dogs.
