    This is cool. I don't quite know what it is, and that makes me look harder. It draws my eye around, but never out of, the frame, and it takes a moment to find the subtle focal point.

    It is a shot of one of the plants in our garden/temple. I believe (guess) that the white hairs are growth from bird or bug droppings.

    Definitely like the first, tight cropped image.
    My thought is that those fine white hairs are mycelia, which I believe ultimately become the fruiting body for various fungi.
    In other words that insect is being absorbed by a fungus. Cool shot, good focus/dof.

    Okay what I saw as a tiny leaf you see as an insect being absorbed? I posted the second shot to show where the first came from.

    It is a shot that tells me that the salesman who sold my wife this camera was honest. He told her that a lot of people brought the camera back complaining about picture quality. He told her to tell me to take the time to learn how to use it properly.

    I think I still have a long way to go to use tbis camera to its limits.
