Golden hour in Pink
Spotted this by chance from my balcony grabbed the camera only to realise the 105 was still on from shooting the hornets half an hour earlier, rushed indoors changed lens but by the time I got back it had reduced in intensity and colour and unable to get the cloud all in due to building and trees.
WB was set on auto and I have not altered the colour.
Comments and suggestions welcome as always.

Re: Golden hour in Pink
This is the kind of photo that I like a lot -- nature and art combined in one image. I gather from your comment that you wish the cloud wasn't anchored to the frame but that's not a problem for me at all.

Re: Golden hour in Pink
Mike,
Yes my comment was with regard to the anchoring to the frame. I also cropped out some palm frond from the left side and may have a go at cloning the near palm that juts out above the horizon.
It had been one of those almost totally cloudless, hot and blue sky days that give little interest at sunset but this single cloud hung in there making up for everything else that was missing.
Glad you liked the image.

Hui,
Thank you for commenting, it's not the normal type of subject I take but it was the simplicity that appealed to me.

Re: Golden hour in Pink
Christina,
Thank you. For info, camera quickly set to Aperture Priority, f5.6 selected as the light was low, ISO 400 selected to keep noise low and camera gave a Speed of 1/25s. I used pattern metering as I knew there would not be time to play around.
This gave slight clipping in one area of the cloud which was easily sorted using the recovery slider.

Re: Golden hour in Pink
Thanks Nandakumar,
Not every image has to be full of content (so I learnt last night) But saying that I suspect they are harder to process when they have large areas of nothing?
