Seriously though. Obvious signs of wealth and intelligence trigger a natural reaction. It may not be long lasting (especially if ones camera hits one in the goolies) but nature is saying "heres a good breeding candidate". Now there is problem here because even in this day and age the chemical release can still be caused by a six pack and a tendency to kick peoples heads in. That harks back to when a good mate had to bring down woolly mammoths bare handed. So in conclusion...If you are a Photographer, built like Arnie, the social skills of Manson and have a 500m lens swinging around you groin...you are in mate.

in my hometown all you need is a DSLR with lens of any size.. hehehehe

Sure, a girl can have a passion like that, and some (me! me! me!) have, but that doesn't help much in case of a girl. It rather works against the girl. I was shooting last night and there was a guy shooting too, and a parked car.. with his wife and his son waiting for him. I was shooting there for 1.5 hour, well after sunset, and he'd already been there when I arrived. So I thought "wow, what a cool girl, she waits for him to do the thing he loves!". But then I saw him return to his car, the frown on her face and I could read from her lips the complaints about how much time he spent there, and I guess it was the last time she let him shoot when she's around So, there are photographer girls, but clearly he chose that girl for wife for a reason different than passion And that's such a book example..

Anyway, I didn't mean to start a deep discussion about the meaning of life, just wanted to encourage all the shy guys to post their pics

Mmmm I am not sure that selecting a partner with the exactly the same interests is a good thing. Apart from the embarrassment of matching anoraks and twin 40Ds I think relationships are strengthened by diversity. I sounds very romantic tripping off into the sunset with a tripod a piece but in reality there will be fundamental clashes of interest. The more passion they have for what they do the bigger the more explosive the rift will be when it comes. As a male I would have read something entirely different into the situation above. 1. the wife is bit of a doormat for hanging about while he plays with is toys and 2. He was taking his time because there was a female tog to impress..and she will not like that at all (or even he thought of it).

Sure, a girl can have a passion like that, and some (me! me! me!) have, but that doesn't help much in case of a girl
I think you may be operating in the wrong circles...females are much better equipped mentally to get real emotion/passion across in their images....I am at a loss to understand why that does not help...unless you are trying to aspire to the male style of image production... then it is easy for people to dismissive of your work. As soon as you get your own female passion, anger, love...whatever.... passing on into your imagery people will sit up and take note.

    Photos of the Members.

So hi all I'm overread and I'm a macroholic with a keen interest in wildlife who keeps his lens in a wellie sock (don't belive me? http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2717/...c479432dca.jpg )
That kind of sums me up at the moment macro is where I have found myself shooting the most recently, mostly because turning over a rock or two yealds bugs whilst animals are far harder to find! That and long glass is expensive!

ps I don't know about attracting girls and stuff but big lenses do attract lemurs!
