A nice simple composition and no distracting elements in the back ground. The detail in the wings is great but it is a bit of a pity the eyes are slightly out of focus. You are on the right path with this shot.

It is one of those cases where you can't get everything sharp from just one shot at that angle. And there is usually a bit of movement to prevent a couple of shots at different focus points for a merge.
I take a lot of shots like this for identification purposes. Each shot concentrates on just one specific area.
In this case, you have the wing veins in good detail without over exposure.
