This is not a white rabbit either

... nor a hare. But it is seen from our window.

I can't do much to improve the background here until it rains.

Tony delightful shots and reminds me that I am long overdue for one of my visits to Australia that I enjoy so much. I think any reference to exact species now need to be accompanied by a DNA test results.

    It's clearly a wallaby, not a kangaroo !

Nice capture Tony, good to get one with the joey in the pouch.

Thanks for the comments. These wallabies are getting tamer over the years but are still quite wary.

L.Paul, I too feel that I am overdue for a visit to NZ, especially the north island. I have only been to Auckland and Wellington.

We don't have rabbits around here but we do have hares. A few months ago we had the remains of one on our garage floor. It had been largely digested by a snake and then excreted, leaving a horrible stinking mess recognisable because the back legs were still intact.

Tony thank you for the mental picture your above description painted. I usually have a short session of catching up with posts just before dinner. I am very glad I decided to have a look a bit earlier as I can mark this one as read and give my indelicate stomach time to settle down.
