    Dawn snowclouds C&C welcome

These are the first snow bearing clouds of the new season blowing in from the northwest at dawn. I thought since I was standing out here freezing I may as well see what can be made of the situation. I wish now I had spent more time on this. It's all a learning experience

The field details nicely balance the clouds so everything comes together well.

It's the curved shapes of the farmed rows and the clouds that make this image for me. They almost imply motion in a nearly impressionistic sort of way. Very, very nice!

Gorgeous image as always... It's the beautiful light and composition that I adore.

I agree with what others have already said, it is the large flowing S-curve between the clouds and rows that make this shot. Combined with the sensuous winter colours, it is a real winner for me. I am glad you posted it in a large size, Trevor: when viewed in lightbox it almost feels like I am standing in that field.

View it in large size and hold a bag of frozen peas to your forehead for the full simulation.
