    Nice Roger - it almost looks like you could put them side by side and make a pano

    I slightly prefer #2, but there's not much in it.

    Wonderful color in these - a delicious green. Some unschooled thoughts: Upsweeping patterns at base of curl compelling in #1, but lower siting of horizon in #2 sets the wave off more nicely than the arrangement in number #1.

    A question, Roger, or anyone: How might one approach the challenge of composition with what is basically a set of layered horizontal forms?

    Not sure exactly why, but these two are appealing to me, especially #2. I particularly like the colors in the sky AND in the water. The "curl" of the wave as it breaks downward in #2 is outstanding.

    Really nice captures.

    Those pictures are just right - colours and textures and the shape of the waves.

    There is also an element of nostalgia for me, having swum in the waves in Southern California many years ago when I lived there for three years.
