Very appealing set. I really enjoy the downstream view in #3 - it seems to me the downstream point of view is uncommon in flowing water shots and works very well here.
Shooting as wide as you did in #1 and #6 I think accounts for horizon concave downward in the first and convex upward in the last and these should be correctable one way or another depending on you PP software. Or did you want those effects? (Which I think is a bit interesting in #6).

    Hi Matt

Nice set of photos. I like the first one a lot, lovely colours and sky. The two of the stream don't do so much for me but I prefer the second of these. The two Mt Mulligan shots are interesting and the sepia treatment in the first works well I think. The one of Magnetic Is is very nice with vibrant colours and a good composition. Brings back fond memories from visits in years gone by.

    Thanks Mark,
The downstream view is not common 'cause you have to set up like this...and many people aren't game.

Re the curved horizons - yes I could correct these, and may do so eventually - probably more laziness than anything
#6 it does give an bit of a different look to it, which I don't mind

Thanks Dave. Mt Mulligan is a fascinating place. I did a whole series of images on it - but didn't know if it would bore everyone as it mostly mono . It was the site of Qld's worst ever mining disaster - all 75 miners on shift died in a massive explosion one morning in 1921.

Magnetic Island is still a magical place. Was only there for a day trip, so missed the soft light. Next time.
