Osprey with fish, personal best!! C&C welcome on PP help etc

Relocated to Ft Myers, Fl from Cape Cod over the last month. WOW did I find the birds!
This Osprey was very cooperative as he landed 3 times with the same fish to get himself into the wind on the branch.
These are by FAR, my best bird photos!

I did minor sharpening, contrast and shadows on my Windows editing program. I got PSE 11, 2 weeks ago but am still finding time to go to library to go thru tutorials

any help appreciated...

Hi Nancy i have to agree # 4 is very nice. As a newbee myself one of the things the mentors have been trying to drill into my head is that I should leave more room forward in my shots. Giving the creature some place to move into in the photo. you did that so well in #4 that it sure has brought the lesson home to me, thanks.

Great captures, I agree that the fourth is exceptional. Welcome to Florida... while here get up to Cape Coral to photograph the Burrowing Owls. You can find the locations by doing an internet search on the Burrowing Owls of Cape Coral.

have you been to Honeymoon Island/Caledisi St Park in Dunedin Fl? There are owls there as well as Osprey Trail with lots of nests. Check them out, not far for you.

All nice captures ... but why do we like No.4? I would suggest becuase the bird has room to fly into which the other two do not.
With that nice sky they are ideal candidates for post production expansion ...
First use 'Canvas Size' tool to increase the work area on the right hand side, more than you probably need as it is easy to crop back.
Next use the clone tool to copy the sky to cover the new area, changing the pick-up point frequently and using a soft brush.
With helpful photos such as these it one of the simplest forms of PP.

Jcuznz, thanks for the advice on how to add some more room to my photo. To say I am a newb at PP, is a major understatement.

JBW- yes, it is hard to give it room as it is zooming by . I have tried to put my center focus to 1 side of my viewfinder, then watch for a bird and hopefully it is "going my way" to photo. At least I am cognizant of what I need to do, now just practice.

Went out yesterday 8 am to 8 pm with son who is home from @ 5 yrs working in Afghanistan. Went car shopping, and found one. Sorry for the delay in responding to all.

No problem for the delay my daughter spent 1 year in A. with the Canadian government. I have the advantage with bugs and blossoms they have to be sitting.
