Two more dessicated flowers
I'm working my way through the stuff we brought back from a walk this weekend. I can't identify the first. The second is of course a milkweed pod. C&C welcome, as always.
Both were stacked with Zerene, PMax.

Thanks Dan,
I always try to get it right with DOF control. Why not do a little stacking exercise, I am asking myself?
You sure got good enough images here to inspire me to experiment a little with stacking.
Did you perhaps move the camera ever so slightly in refocusing in No 2 or was there an ever so slight breeze to move the very fine hair? I can imagine taking two shots of a plant with such fine hair is not very easy.

Thanks, Andre and Grahame. Andre, you will be glad if you learn to stack. Re the motion: I did not notice that until I had the stack completed. It was neither camera movement nor wind (I was indoors). It was motion from the wood floor. My normal proceedure is to refocus the lens, trip the shutter once to raise the mirror, and then stand still for a bit to make sure everything has stopped moving. At such close distances, even slight motion matters. However, I did not take into account how little it would take to make the tiny hairs move. In this case, I was using a remote release with a short cable. Had I realized, I would have used a radio-controlled release and tripped the shutter from farther away.
