Sweet! And I really like the sepia for this shot.
Great little dog and a wonderful photo!
Hope he's ready for a GSP. They're a handful. But well worth the invested time in the long run. Nice shot.
They already have a GSP, Gus, who is three now and is a pistol. But, our kids, like us, are outdoor people and dog people. Luckily, our grandson's employment in the landscaping field means he can keep Gus - and soon Boone - with him most of the time. His idea of a lunch break is training Gus.
That's good to hear. A lot of people get them and end up with misbehaving dogs because they don't get enough activity. I've had them all my life and am convinced that the mental stimulation of being active is as important and the physical exercise. I'd love to be able to bring Grace to work with me.
Yes. Fortunately, in our area there are active retriever clubs and a GSP rescue organization. Years ago, I told two couples who were friends and colleagues that they should not adopt German Shorthaired Pointer pups because they were not outdoor people. They ignored the advice and it was not long before the dogs were up for adoption; I referred them to the local retriever club and the dogs did find permanent homes with people who were in a position to raise them properly.
