Two nice shots but no. 1 is very nice indeed. Might be tempted to clone out the blurred boat but that's not a given. Classic comp and lovely colours.
Hi, Murat.
I love what you did with the water and foreground. Both the reflected wetness and the blurred water have their own beauty, but also make excellent sight lines. But with the 2nd shot, they don't lead us to anything compelling: Maiden's Tower is too small to truly be significant or appreciated for its own beauty, and its placement is wedged between the excellent rocks and the sunrise, and easy to look past.
The 1st shot is much preferable to me: the rocks are more dynamic and interesting, the inclusion of the large triangular-shaped rock mimics the structure of the tower, and leads beautifully to the rising sun which better silhouettes the buildings on the opposite bank of the bay, and is a nice balancing element for the Tower, which is seen more prominently. I'd still like to see the tower larger, but this is a very nice image. I'd probably remove the boat as purely a personal preference. Nice work.

Very nice shots. Well done.
Kevin, thanks so much for your valuable feedback. It helps me not just with these images but also with those I'll be shooting in the future. I've shot this tower so many times from all kinds of different angles but have yet to be pleased with any of them. I will keep trying.
I agree that these are very nice - especially the first a d agree Kevin that you did an extraordinary job with the foreground in the first. Would love some data - focal length, exposure, f-stop.
Hi Mark,
Here's the method I use when Flickr members don't provide it;
click the photo's text link below left of each image
in the web page that opens; edit the url and add "meta" after the last "/"
So "~flickr.com/photos/batmura/10874611616/"
becomes "~flickr.com/photos/batmura/10874611616/meta" and that page will usually show it.
Hi Murat,
I can't really add anything helpful to Kevin's analysis. I also prefer the first shot
Two very nice sunset photos indeed.
Cheers
J
