    Basically the shot is fine but there is a lot of distracting background in the top right corner. I would probably crop tighter with something around 3 x 2 ratio and allow a small part of the antennae to go out of the frame.

    Hi Brian,

    I agree with Geoff about the need to crop the top, I would take it to just exclude the brown part of leaf top left.

    I agree this is better but I took it a little tighter to keep the diagonal line working for me.

    Hi Brian, now that you are getting a better hang of shooting macro, go the next level. Shoot them from the front.

    Strangely enough when I ask them yo turn around they tend to ignore me But I agree it is the next level to explore. I have some nice flies and spiders but the techniques does need a lot of practice.
