    Crow portraits

It comes as a surprise and/or shock, to many people, that I have a strong fondness for crows. While many find them annoying, I think they are gorgeous creatures; both physically beautiful, and mentally brilliant (perhaps smarter than some people I've met ). Here are a few shots I'd like to share. C&C appreciate, please feel free to comment on anything, including suggestions for possible improvements (both in shooting, and in processing, etc) Hope you enjoy.

I'm quite smitten with this beauty:

This one was keeping an eye on me, and an eye on the bread being tossed to the ducks by someone

Matt, I also quite like crows. The ones we have here are slightly different to yours. They can be noisy and aggressive but when you see a pair of them in love cooing at each other they seem quite sweet.

And by the way, these are very nice pictures.

Getting detail from a black bird is just as difficult as getting it from a white bird...nice job.

I like the head shot too, Matt. Our local variety have green eyes. I'll post a photo I took recently in another thread that I think testifies to their intelligence.

Great shots. I too like crows (but then I would any bird hehe).
Unfortunately here our crows tend not to congregate even in places where lots of food is being thrown around. Only see them on top of lamp posts. One day one will do me a favour haha.
