    Bokeh -

    Bokeh -, Bokeh -
    Canon 60D First image: Av, 100mm macro, f2.8, ISO200
Second image: Av, 100mm macro, f11, ISO 400
I took several images of fungi just over a week ago which generated my question about bokeh (spelt correctly this time), of 'When is blur/bokeh too much'. Here is another attempt at creating an image with bokeh. C&C is requested & the main emphasis please is the bokeh right?
    Regards

Looks good to me, Andy. The main object(s) are clearly in focus and the other things are not, which helps guide the eye to the what you wanted the viewer to see.

Thanks Ken for your kind words. I will keep on trying to achieve the right amount of Bokeh for my images.

Boken has nothing to do with the amount of DoF but is instead the quality of the DoF. This can't be achieved with technique as it is a characteristic of the optical design.

As to these then I'd say the bokeh was ok but not brilliant as the OOF areas have distinct edges.
