Candid photo
Hi, this is a candid pic that I took in Cambodia. I thought I would see if I could improve
it somewhat. The look on the ladies face is what captured me so my attempt is to have
that show through more.
Am I making headway? Any suggestions?

Re: Candid photo
IMHO a vertical composition on both of these pics would have worked better.

Hi Bruce,
Thank you for your feedback. I have recropped the pic to see what it would be like.

Re: Candid photo
I like the color recropped version very much. I think with that version you very successfully present the look on her face.
I also feel like there was a considerable amount of emotion conveyed in her body language which I think is emphasized with the recrop. Her skin color is complemented(?) or enhanced (?) by the blouse; I much prefer the color over B&W. Keep in mind these are the opinions of somebody with no artistic training and very little photographic experience.

Re: Candid photo
The white lines in front of her face on the wall are a bit distracting. They're not showing up on the b&w. If you could remove them from the final color crop I think it might be an improvement.

Re: Candid photo
Hi Andrew, lack of experience or not I appreciate any and all feedback. To be honest
I don't have a lot of experience either but I am here because I want to learn

Re: Candid photo
Thanks for pointing that out Didace. I had removed them in the black &white and then missed them when I recropped
