Helpful Posts: I take the dog out for a walk every day but usually only have the iPhone in my pocket so I tend to shoot the things I see with it. Our main wanders are either down to Jacky's Beach which is only ten minutes away, up onto Cleadon Hills or just through the park.
Technically not the best quality photographs you'll see on CiC but I do hope they capture the mood.

I wouldn't have guessed they came from an iPhone, which just shows how prejudiced I am. At the end of the day, it's the photographer, not the camera.
#1 could be in a photography exhibition; I love it.

Very nice captures. However, methinks that a decent bridge camera would not weigh you down to any great extent and could be part of your kit for dog walking...

Richard, Samsung gave me a 21x zoom Galaxy Camera last Christmas (which was rather nice of them) but after having a good play for few weeks/months and really enjoying using it I left still it home. The thing about the phone is it never leaves me but I never feel like I'm having to carry it. I also have a drawer full of digital compact cameras that I could use but never bother. So long as nots absolutely tipping it down I will sling the K30 over my shoulder from time to time and not be concerned if it gets wet (too scared to get it soaked) so I do take a lot of better quality photographs though whether they are better photographs is still debatable.
