Video file suffixes
I use a Panasonic HDC-TM900 camera with 32GB of built-in memory as well as capability to use an SDHDC memory card. I have always used the built-in memory and downloaded to my computer from the camera via a USB cable. However, I have just done a test using an SDHDC memory card and downloading to Photoshop CS6 via a card reader and Adobe Bridge.
I had shot four video clips in this test and named them Card Test_ . When I opened Bridge, I found 15 files with the file suffixes of .DAT, .MRK, .TMP, .MTS, .CPI, .TID, .MPL, .VPL, .TDT and .BDM. They were listed in the following order:
Card test_3083.DAT
Card test_3084.MRK
Card test_3085.TMP
Card test_3086.BDM
Card test_3087.MTS (with video)
Card test_3088.CPI
Card test_3089.MTS (with video)
Card test_3090.MTS (with video)
Card test_3091.CPI
Card test_3092.CPI
Card test_3093.CPI
Card test_3094.MPL
Card test_3095.MTS (with video)
Card test_3096.TID
Card test_3097.VPL
Card test_3098.TDT
Card test_3099.BDM
Only the MTS files had video attached. I don’t have any idea what the files other that the MTS (with video) are…

Re: Video file suffixes
From what I saw after a quick Google, the MTS are the video streams, the others are metadata of one kind or another. Those would be hidden if you download through the camera (that 'knows' which are the video files), but that doesn't work with a download directly from the card.
Were all files in the same directory?
