Afternoon Storm

This was a noisy storm with rolling thunder making all aware of it's presence. It came into the harbour in the afternoon. This is a seven picture stitch job. The next storm we get will be a Tropical Cyclone which is coming our way from West Australia, but it doesn't appear too scary as yet. C&C welcome.

Handsome work - nice color and conveyance of mood. Maybe the foreground rock is a little soft, but it gives good balance and line to the composition. Hope the cyclone peters out.

What lens did you use on this, and was it taken in portraiture ? I want to try stitching but not there yet.and program that stitches??

Thanks Mark, I ussually sharpen more and add a little more contrast for mood, but felt this one looked better a bit soft. I will let you know if Cyclone Alesia is a good girl or a bad girl. It will spend if she gets much time at sea to build strength or heads straight inland and looses speed.

Hi Nancy, I used a 20mm in portraiture and stitched it in Photoshop Creative Cloud. All my fine tuning is done with Apple Aperture, as I am new to photoshop and only really bought it for printing.
